About
I’m Tom Segal, a facilitator, software developer and physicist based in Berlin.
Since 2016, I have facilitated workshops exploring human connection through movement, improvisation, conversation and embodied exercises. From 2019 to 2024, I co-created events under Daring & Caring, including four editions of the Intimate Imaginarium. Since 2024, I have continued independently and collaborated with other facilitators and festivals.
In 2025 and 2026, my work included workshops at Touch & Play Cologne and Unfolding, alongside coordinating the Exploratorium and the sooth & care team at Touch & Play Cologne in 2025.
My approach
I combine embodied exercises, authentic relating, improvisation, playback theatre and constellation work with curiosity and lots of dry humour. The workshops explore how we connect, communicate and respond to perhaps less shiny experiences such as awkwardness, boredom, shame or uncertainty.
Background
My academic background is in experimental nuclear physics. I hold a doctorate from Heidelberg University and now work as a software developer. I also create 3D art.
I’m a father, which continues to shape how I think about care, presence and boundaries.
